Superstructures (III)

The upper corners of the cockpit poses problem in the
original instructions. Here, a double angle strip of 7 holes
(48b) allows to hold the radius
of curvature of the flexible plate of 3x5 holes
(188), and to support a semi circular
plate (214). Moreover, a
formed slotted strip (215) has been
added at the bottom. Likewise, an obtuse angle bracket
(12c) has been added.
The roof is fixed to the façade by an angle girder of 7 holes (9b).
The masts and the funnel
For the fixation of the masts on the cargo-boat, it is better
to use an angle bracket (12) and
an angle bracket of 2x1 holes (12b)
which the longest side is fixed inside the mast.
The funnel is made of 6 curved plates (200):
4 in the front and two in the back. Its sides are made of
2 flexible plates of 11x5 holes (192).
The top of the funnel is formed by a flexible plate of 11x5 holes
(192) in the front exceeding by 2 holes,
a curved plate (200) in the back
exceeding by 1 hole. The top of the sides are formed by a
triangular flexible plate of 3x7 holes (224)
and a flexible plate of 5x3 holes (188).
The straight shape of the sides is obtained thanks to two strips of 5 holes (5) fixed inside the funnel.
